Travel Security Kit — Common Questions

No — TSA leaves WellMall straps in place because the buckle is a standard quick-release, not a lock. TSA agents can open and re-secure the strap without damaging it. (TSA-approved locks aren't required for straps with non-locking buckles like ours.) If your bag is selected for inspection, the strap will be unfastened and put back. Avoid TSA-locked straps unless you also include a TSA key — those get cut.

WellMall's adjustable strap fits any standard suitcase from 20" carry-on to 28" large checked bags. The strap extends from 28" to 75" total length — wraps once around any size, or twice around carry-ons for extra security. The 2-Kit (two straps) lets you cross-strap a single large bag for maximum hold.

Reinforced ABS plastic with a two-stage locking mechanism. Survives drops up to 1.5 meters and pulls up to 50kg — equivalent to airline baggage handler stress tests. Most cheap straps use single-stage clips that pop open under impact. Ours requires deliberate two-finger release pressure.

Yes. The silicone tag has a clear plastic insert window for a paper card. Use any pen or marker on the included card. The plastic insert is waterproof — rain, spills, and washing won't damage your contact info. Replacement cards are included; you can also print custom cards.
